More than half of Poles are overweight or obese. 6 March 2009, launched a campaign of socio-educational "slimming Poles", designed to educate, promote an active lifestyle and healthy weight loss maintained under medical supervision. Within organized by the Polish Society for the Study of Obesity shares in more than 1,600 centers across the country will benefit from free health checks and medical advice. Additionally
in 8 cities will visit Mobile Clinic.
Held for the first time in Poland, a campaign "to trim the Poles!" Is intended to diagnose as many patients for overweight and obesity and promoting healthy lifestyles and lose weight under the supervision of specialists. Eight cities: Warsaw, Gdańsk, Łódź, Lublin, Katowice, Krakow, Wroclaw and Poznan will visit in March, specialized mobile clinic. The event will be take advantage of free consultations cosmetologists and fitness instructors, massage slimming, as well as a free measurements of body fat, BMI, blood pressure and blood glucose.
